As the no and low alcohol market increases daily, the question that comes through to us more often than any other is “Is it only non (alcohol) drinkers who buy and drink all these great alcohol free options?” – and the short and obvious answer is NO OF COURSE NOT!! But we do understand why the question is asked.

If you go back even 3 years, the number of options available both to buy for in home consumption, as well as within a pub or retsaurant environment, was minimal, and centered around bottled lager ( Becks Blue et al ).

The other soft drink elephant in the room is the fact that there are literally hundreds of, well, soft drinks, available, so why is there even a need or the room for non alocholic specific options in the marketplace?

And it’s the answer to this that really answers the first question at the same time – stick with me as I explain.

As a society we’re becoming more health conscious, and this is only a good thing. Part of this movement is to recognise our limits, and pay more attention to what we put into our bodies. 

With this focus on what we eat and drink, so we have changed our attitude to drinking alcohol, but at the same time we have learned that there is nothing wrong with the event or occasion that having a nice drink represents, and this is where the low and no market really steps in.

When everyone else is ordering a double brandy, a vodka martini, or a margarita, whether it’s to toast a special announcement, to add some sparkle to the party or just because
